Subsidised diesel system begins in Labuan
For further enquiries regarding the Subsidised Diesel Control System (SKDS), the public may contact the KPDN Labuan office.
LABUAN: The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) of the Federal Territory of Labuan has begun operations of the Subsidised Diesel Control System (SKDS) Customer Service Counter on Monday (4 May), in line with the opening of registration for the system in Sabah, Sarawak, and the Federal Territory of Labuan.

KPDN Chief Enforcement Officer Amiluddin Malang said the counter operates every working day from Monday to Friday, from 8.00am to 5.00pm, at Level 15, Ujana Kewangan Building, KPDN Labuan Office.

The initiative was implemented to facilitate target groups, particularly public land transport operators and goods transport operators, in obtaining information and registering under the SKDS. 

In addition, registration kiosks have also been provided at the KPDN Labuan office to assist applicants in submitting applications directly with guidance from officers on duty, he said.

Amiluddin said that applicants may also register online through the MySubsidi website at mysubsidi.kpdn.gov.my without having to visit the office, as a more convenient and faster alternative.

“Applicants are advised to ensure that all information and supporting documents are uploaded completely and accurately to facilitate the application and approval process under the,” he said.

The implementation of the SKDS in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan is part of the Government’s efforts to ensure targeted diesel subsidy distribution to eligible groups, while also combating the misuse and leakage of subsidised fuel.

A total of 10 categories of public land transport vehicles and 23 categories of goods transport vehicles are eligible for consideration under this scheme, subject to the stipulated conditions and guidelines.

KPDN Labuan urged all eligible parties to register immediately to ensure continuity of operations and to enjoy the subsidy benefits provided by the Government.
