KOTA KINABALU: Youth representatives from local political parties and activists have called on the Federal and State governments to provide full transparency on the state’s 40pc net revenue entitlement following a court-ordered stay.

In a joint statement, Allison Chan (Upko), Melvin Lo (Warisan), Yong Yit Jee (Sapp) and activist Atalia Mae Jaua (Komuhakan) said the authorities must release detailed records of all negotiations, including meeting dates, outcomes, and a clear roadmap.

“Sincerity is proven by facts, not phrases,” the statement read.

They also criticised the MA63 monitoring dashboard as insufficient, adding that transparency is measured by access to raw data, not the aesthetic of a progress bar.”

The group urged Sabah leaders to act decisively, warning that “no transparency, no trust.”

They have called for the public to join a peaceful rally, “Laksanakan 40% Hak Sabah,” organized by the Wisdom Foundation at Gaya Street on Friday (10 April) starting at 5pm, to demand accountability, while emphasising that the event is non-partisan.
