KLUANG: Gas Malaysia Green Ventures Sdn Bhd (GMGV), a wholly owned subsidiary of Gas Malaysia Berhad (Gas Malaysia), has recently formalised a 15-year Gas Purchase Agreement (GPA) with PH Premier Biogas Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of PHWorld, marking another significant milestone in Gas Malaysia’s renewable energy journey.

The signing ceremony was held at the Centralised Biomethane Injection Station in Kluang, operated by GMGV.

Under the terms of the agreement, PH Premier Biogas Sdn Bhd will operate, generate and supply raw biogas to GMGV.

On the other hand, GMGV will purify the raw biogas into biomethane, which will then be transported via virtual pipeline to the Centralised Biomethane Injection Station-Kluang.

Back in May 2025, GMGV achieved a significant milestone with the launching of Malaysia’s first Centralised Biomethane Injection Station by Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani, who was serving as the Minister of Plantation and Commodities at the time, together with industry leaders and key stakeholders.

Strategically located, the Centralised Biomethane Injection Station serves as a central hub to receive biomethane from surrounding palm oil mills and provides an integrated platform for injecting renewable gas into the national natural gas grid.

“We are confident that this collaboration can pave the way for many more opportunities within Malaysia’s renewable energy ecosystem and can accelerate the transition towards cleaner energy and contribute meaningfully to the country’s sustainable aspirations,” En. Ahmad Hashimi concluded.
