LABUAN: The island Federal Territory should not suffer from loss of representation in the Upper House if the senatorship of Tan Sri Anifah Aman is not extended for whatever reason.
“Labuan is not short of capable people for the post and it should be given back to Labuan, instead of appointing another Sabah-born like Anifah,” said activist George Elias.
“It is not fair for Labuan when there are so many here who are qualified but not given a chance to prove,” said George.
Anifah the former Federal Foreign Minister and Parti Cinta Sabah (PSC) President was appointed a Senator using the quota meant for Labuan on March 20 2023.
