KOTA BELUD: CEO Joe Datuk Golkhan reaffirmed Jubilo Football Academy’s ongoing commitment to grassroots football development through a holistic approach that emphasises not only on-field performance, but also character building among players.
During a meeting with the academy’s coaches in Kota Belud, he expressed his appreciation for their dedication in nurturing young talent.
“Coaches are not there just to train players—but are shaping discipline, character, and the future of our children,” he said.
He noted that the academy’s focus goes beyond winning, placing strong emphasis on values such as hard work, teamwork, and self-confidence among players.
“Every training session and every piece of advice given has a long-term impact on their lives. We aim to develop not only great players, but also quality individuals,” he explained.
He also stressed that true success is not measured solely by victories, but by how those victories are achieved.
At the same time, he encouraged coaches to continuously upgrade their knowledge and skills, and to be open to adopting new approaches in line with the rapidly evolving nature of modern football.
“Players may forget what we teach them technically, but they will never forget how we made them feel—valued, trusted, and given opportunities,” he added.
In concluding his remarks, he expressed confidence in the coaching team’s ability to elevate Jubilo Football Academy to greater heights.
“With your commitment and passion, I believe this academy can become one of the best in the region,” he said.
