Organising Chairperson and Association Chairwoman Wong Ing Hung said the kindergarten’s diverse student body reflects genuine harmony in action.
“One of the unique features of Tzu Yu Kindergarten is that our students come from various racial backgrounds, truly reflecting the spirit of unity and harmony,” she said.
She added that while Chinese New Year is rooted in tradition, the celebration at the kindergarten goes beyond ethnicity, becoming a shared cultural experience for all pupils.
Wong highlighted the school’s effective three-language teaching approach, which she said provides children with a strong academic foundation before entering primary school.
“In terms of teaching, the school is effective in delivering education in three languages, preparing a solid base for our children as they move on to primary education,” she said.
Beyond academics, she described the kindergarten as offering a conducive learning environment, complete with its own hall, garden, grassy activity area and sufficient classrooms.
Located in the city centre, the school also provides afternoon care services to support working parents by ensuring children remain in a safe and comfortable setting after classes.
Wong expressed appreciation to teachers for their dedication in guiding pupils in performances, including singing, dancing and lion dance presentations, adding that their patience and passion have enabled children to enjoy a colourful and joyful school life.
She also thanked parents for their continued trust and active participation in school activities, noting that greater collaboration between home and kindergarten remains central to nurturing well-rounded children.
Stressing that the school’s mission aligns with national education guidelines, Wong said the aim is to cultivate a generation that is physically and spiritually healthy, morally grounded and ready to contribute to the nation’s future.
The celebration concluded with the distribution of ang pao to the children, marking a festive start to the Year of the Horse.
