PUTATAN: Local activist and Upko leader Rosdi Wasli urged Sabah Government to expedite the processing of Rumah Mesra SMJ housing assistance for the displaced 14 families whose houses were destroyed by a fire in last December.
He said the affected families are still currently residing in a temporary resettlement centre at Dewan Sri Putatan.
They are from Pasir Putih and appealing for a swift resolution to their housing crisis to allow them to rebuild their lives, he added.
“The 14 heads of households have been seeking refuge at the Dewan Sri Putatan hall for several months,” Rosdi said during a recent visit to the centre.
