KOTA KINABALU: The Liberal Democratic Party has urged the City Hall (DBKK) to intensify efforts to beautify the city centre as tourist arrivals continue to recover.
Nominated assemblyman Datuk Chin Shu Ying said enhancing the urban landscape is crucial to leave a positive impression on visitors.

Chin, who is also the party’s Secretary-General, said this after leading a delegation on a courtesy visit to Mayor Datuk Seri Sabin Samitah on Friday, accompanied by several party leaders and community development leaders.
He said the party submitted proposals to address longstanding public complaints, including parking shortages and traffic congestion, parking fees and overtime penalties, street lighting issues, the presence of street children, inefficiencies in garbage collection services and road conditions in Telipok.
In response, Sabin welcomed the engagement and said DBKK would study the proposals seriously, dispatch relevant officers for site inspections and prioritise residents’ interests and well-being while improving efficiency in handling public complaints.
