LAHAD DATU: POIC Sabah is aiming to expand blood donation and civic awareness in the district as it marked its fifth year of leading a blood donation campaign.

Its Corporate Communications Manager, Malvina Flant, said the latest campaign held from Feb 3 to 4 was the 15th consecutive drive organised by the POIC Emergency Mutual Aid (Pema) since its inception in 2014.

The campaign was held at the premises of Genting Biorefinery Sdn Bhd, a major investor at POIC Lahad Datu and a founding member of the mutual aid group.

She said the programme brought together volunteers from member companies operating within the POIC Lahad Datu industrial park, who undergo regular firefighting training to serve as first responders during emergencies.
