During the meeting, Wong introduced each member of the delegation and shared the work of Miss World Malaysia and the Miss World Organisation, highlighting Julia Morley’s lifelong dedication to Beauty With a Purpose and its global humanitarian impact.
When Wong mentioned the new building for autistic children made possible through the support and donation of Morley and Beauty With a Purpose, Musa said he was already aware of the project and expressed his joy at seeing such initiatives take shape.
Morley reflected on her many visits to Sabah, spoke of her affection for the state and its people, and stressed the importance of promoting local tourism while emphasising that Beauty With a Purpose focuses on compassion and meaningful impact beyond physical beauty.
Opal shared that Sabah reminded her of Phuket because of its natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere, adding that her mother, after seeing photos, now dreams of visiting Sabah, especially to experience the sunset Opal had witnessed.
Taanusiya highlighted Sabah’s diversity with its many cultures and more than 120 languages, after which Wong suggested the possibility of Sabah hosting the Miss World Festival, an idea that Musa said he fully supported.
