Commercial and low-voltage industrial users in Sabah can receive up to a 20pc electricity discount by joining the Off-Peak Tariff Rider (OPTR) scheme.

The programme gives a 20pc reduction on energy charges for electricity used during off-peak hours from 10.01pm to 7.59am, helping businesses that operate late or manage high energy loads cut operating costs and optimise their monthly bills.

Sabah Electricity said the scheme is designed to encourage off-peak consumption, improve system efficiency and lower operational expenses for commercial and industrial users able to shift usage outside peak periods, subject to eligibility conditions.
