Kota Kinabalu: Outstanding students in Sabah are invited to apply for the Shell Malaysia 2026 Scholarship Programme 2026 scholarship programme, which will open in March.
Shell Malaysia Chairman Siti Hurrairah Sulaiman said the company may increase the quota if more high-performing students apply.
“Currently, Shell Malaysia takes in six to 10 students nationwide to enter our scholarship programme but for Sabah, we can increase the quota depending on the number and quality of applicants,” she said after a courtesy call on Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Musa Aman at Istana Seri Kinabalu, here.
At present, seven students from Sabah are under the Shell scholarship programme, with most of them pursuing further studies in the United Kingdom and the United States, she added.
During the courtesy call, she briefed Musa on the company’s developments and continued commitment towards investments and operations in Sabah.
“We have been operating here in Sabah for over 40 years and are committed to continuing our investments on a long-term basis,” she said.
Also present were Sabah Shell Petroleum Company Ltd General Manager Alexon Jong; East Malaysia Corporate Relations General Manager Jonathan Jolly; and East Malaysia Corporate Relations Advisor Liz Kumar.
