Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Law Society (SLS) will host a town hall to update the public on Sabah’s constitutional entitlement to 40 per cent of net federal revenue, following a landmark High Court ruling in October last year.
“The session will cover the current status of the 90-day and 180-day timelines from the court’s order, progress on the Article 112D review, and broader legal and constitutional implications for Sabah,” SLS President Datuk Mohamed Nazim Maduarin said on Friday.
The town hall is scheduled for Feb 28 (Saturday) at 10am at the Sabah Law Society Secretariat Office.
Mohamed said the session aims to provide clarity, factual updates, and informed discussion on this significant constitutional matter.
Members of the public wishing to attend must register in advance due to limited seating.
“The SLS remains committed to transparency, public engagement, and upholding the rule of law in safeguarding Sabah’s constitutional rights and fiscal future,” he added.
