TAWAU: Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk James Ratib said he would seek funding from the State Government and the Ministry of Education to address priority needs at the Institute of Teacher Education (IPG) Tawau Campus following a working visit on Sunday.
He said the Ministry took note of key issues raised by the campus management, particularly involving security, learning facilities and supporting infrastructure.

Among the matters highlighted was the maintenance of the ageing campus perimeter fence to ensure a safer and more conducive environment for staff and trainees.
The ministry also identified the need to supply smart boards to support teacher training and learning, in line with the state’s ongoing education digitalisation efforts.
Concerns over Internet and telecommunications coverage around the campus, as well as a request for a new bus to replace an ageing vehicle for campus use, will be brought to the relevant authorities, including the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
