His recent form has been patchy finishing outside of top three positions in his last three runs.
His redemption tomorrow however, could be thwarted by a very well-prepared Magic Billion (Ex. Summer Glitter) who has played second fiddle to others in his last three runs.
David’s Sling and One Kinabalu are the other top contenders. Newly-arrived Dimesso had an ordinary outing last start but is expected to improve.
Race 5 (Class 3) over 1100m sand track is too close to call. Elder statesman Pop has the slightest edge over Classic Head.
Biduan under last season champion jockey Firdaus certainly has ability to strike hard and emerge top of the heap. Blue Chip and Lady Lara are classy-types and should be regarded for minor selections.
Besides local races, Royal Sabah Turf Club (RSTC) will also telecast “live” races tomorrow from Perak Turf Club and Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC).
Race 8 The Hong Kong Classic Mile features four-year old runners graduating from this race to be properly endorsed as Hong Kong’s next potential stars.
Sagacious Life is the highest rated horse and under equal weight conditions should be favourite. Invincible Ibis with a proud record of four straight wins is legitimate first place getter as well.
Little Paradise with popular jockey C.Y. Ho on board and with three wins out of four runs must be respected. Top Dragon and Beauty Bolt round up the selections.
The local totalisator pools for Perak and Hong Kong races are commingled into the respective Perak Turf Club and HKJC’s pools for dividend stability.
RSTC will also telecast “live” races and operates commingled pool totalisators today (Saturday) from three Australian tracks – Rosehill, Eagle Farm and Ascot.
