TAMPARULI: The Ruhiang Kiulu Adventure Challenge 2026 will be held on March 29, 2026, continuing its role as a grassroots sporting event that supports community participation and rural tourism in Sabah.
Organised by the Sabah Labuan Extreme Sports Fan Club, the event is expected to attract runners from various parts of the state and neighbouring regions, contributing to local economic activity while promoting Tamparuli and Kiulu as nature-based adventure destinations.

Club president Steve Johnny Mositun said the 2026 edition will feature a 10-kilometre competitive run with four categories: Men Open, Men Veteran, Women Open and Women Veteran.
He said there will be fun 13km ride which promote family oriented activities.
“The event also supports Sabah’s broader tourism direction in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026, as participants and visitors are encouraged to experience local culture, food and attractions in the surrounding areas.
“Early bird registration is open until February 20, 2026, while normal registration will be available from February 21 until March 8, 2026,” Steve said in a statement here on Friday.
The Ruhiang Kiulu Adventure Challenge has been organised regularly over the years and is supported by local communities and volunteers.
