THE Rotary Club of Likas Bay recently contributed 222 schoolbags to three primary schools in Ranau as a small gesture of support for the future generation.
The recipients were SK Kimondou, which received 30 bags, SK Kinirasan (50) and SK Paginatan (142). Club President Aldrin Wong said while the contribution may seem small, it carries great hope.
“They symbolise our support for rural communities and our effort to assist parents and families in preparing their children for school.
“They are also a reminder to the students that they are not alone in their journey in seeking knowledge,” he said. Aldrin advised students to focus on their studies, stressing that education is the key to unlocking a brighter future.
“It is the path to achieving your dreams, whether you wish to become a doctor, a pilot, a teacher or a successful entrepreneur. There are no shortcuts to success. Success begins in the classroom, today, in this very school,” he said.
