RANAU: Ranau Member of Parliament, Datuk Jonathan Yasin encouraged members of the Pasar Besar Ranau Traders Association to use digital technology to promote local products, adapting to the evolving business environment.

With the current changing business landscape, he said, local traders must be able to maintain their competitiveness in order to survive against large competitors, secure profitability, and foster economic growth within their communities.

“In an increasingly digitalized market, staying competitive allows local businesses to adapt to changing consumer behaviors—such as online shopping and demand for convenience—while preserving their unique value proposition,” he said.

Jonathan was speaking when officiating the Christmas and New Year 2026 celebration organized by the Pasar Besar Ranau Traders Association which took place at the Pasar Besar Ranau recently.
