KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Housing and Town Development Board (LPPB) has built 29,443 low-cost public housing units statewide over nearly six decades since its establishment.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said LPPB also plays an important role in developing affordable homes and commercial projects to help narrow socio-economic gaps between urban and rural communities.

He said the agency has consistently implemented housing projects across Sabah in line with the State Government’s vision for inclusive, balanced and high-impact development.
“The State Government greatly appreciates the significant role and contribution of LPPB as a key agency in the housing and urban development sector,” he said at LPPB’s 59th anniversary dinner here on Saturday.
Hajiji said the State Government, through LPPB, will continue low-cost housing projects in Sukau, Melalap, Beluran and Pitas, as well as affordable housing developments involving 2,358 units in Sandakan, Papar and Kota Kinabalu.
