“Strategic cooperation between international oil companies and key industry players must provide long-term benefits to the State and the people of Sabah,” he said during the courtesy call by ConocoPhillips Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ryan Lance at his office in Menara Kinabalu, here, Thursday.
Meanwhile, Lance said ConocoPhillips is among the leading oil companies from the United States and the world’s largest independent players in oil and gas exploration and production, with operations across various strategic global regions.
He said ConocoPhillips is focusing its investment in Sabah while simultaneously strengthening its long-term commitment to Malaysia.
“We are proud to work together to develop the oil and gas industry in Sabah and are confident that this industry offers a very bright future for the State’s growth,” said Lance, who was making his first visit to Sabah.
ConocoPhillips Sabah Gas is now the sole operator of the Kebabangan (KBBC) Production Sharing Contract (PSC) Cluster in Sabah, following the transfer of operations from Petronas on January 21, 2025.
