KUCHING: The Madani government remains open to discussions between the federal and state governments on various issues, including the legal dispute involving Petronas and Petros,
Borneo Post reported.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs) Datuk Mustapha Sakmud said differences of opinion were normal and discussions should be conducted with proper decorum.

He stressed that differing views should be debated constructively and arguments must be based on facts in order to seek the truth.
Mustapha said the matter should ultimately be left to the courts to decide and that all parties should move forward once a decision is reached.
He also reaffirmed that the rights of Sabah and Sarawak will continue to be defended, noting that such rights are guaranteed under the Federal Constitution.
