RM5.2 million Sabah Electricity contributions to community

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Electricity has contributed RM5.2 million towards community development initiatives over the past few years, focusing on education, welfare and environmental protection.

“The corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts would continue throughout 2026, in line with the company’s commitment to improving the wellbeing of Sabahans,” said Sabah Electricity Chief Corporate Communication Officer Lisa Wan at a media luncheon attended by members of the Sabah Journalist Association and Kota Kinabalu Journalists Association, here, Tuesday.

Lisa said 2026 would see the implementation of high-impact projects critical to Sabah’s energy development, describing them as milestones in the journey towards sustainable growth.

She thanked reporters for their fair coverage of the company’s work, especially during power outages and other emergencies, saying accurate news reports help keep the public properly informed.
