SANDAKAN: Barisan Nasional (BN) secretary-general Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir expressed confidence that the coalition can retain the Kinabatangan parliamentary seat and the Lamag state seat through close cooperation with the Sabah government led by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
He said BN’s overall machinery was well-prepared and organised, reflecting the understanding forged during the formation of the current state government.

Zambry noted that the cooperation on the ground had eased campaign planning and mobilisation, giving him confidence that preparations and coordination would not pose major issues.
He added that a recent meeting with Hajiji in Kuala Lumpur reaffirmed the Chief Minister’s commitment to ensuring BN candidates defend both seats.
Zambry was speaking to reporters after visiting the new hostel construction site at Sandakan Polytechnic, which was also attended by Sabah Umno chairman Datuk Jafry Arifin and state treasurer Datuk Suhaimi Nasir.
