PENAMPANG: A 39-year-old local man was arrested early Friday on suspicion of sabotaging Telekom Malaysia (TM) cables here following intelligence-led surveillance, district police chief Supt Sammy Newton said in a statement.

He said a special task force tracking cable theft detected a group cutting telecommunication cables along Jalan Taman Bulan before they fled the scene in a vehicle.
