KOTA KINABALU: Deputy Chief Minister and state Minister of Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transport Datuk Ewon Benedick on Monday presented appointment letters to new chairmen of POIC Sabah and Invest Sabah Berhad at Wisma Kewangan here.
Former Sabah trade and industry minister Datuk Seri Madius Tangau was appointed POIC Sabah chairman, while Datuk Roger Chin takes over as Invest Sabah Berhad chairman.

At the same ceremony, former Sabah Customs director Datuk Jonathan Kandok was appointed POIC Sabah deputy chairman.
Ewon said the appointments reflect the state government’s intention to steer Sabah’s investment, industrial and logistics sectors in a more orderly, inclusive and accountable manner under the Sabah First agenda.
Those appointed thanked the State Government for the trust placed in them and pledged to discharge their responsibilities with commitment, as senior ministry officials and agency heads looked on.
