KOTA KINABALU: A 40-year-old man escaped without serious injury after the Isuzu D-Max he was driving lost control and crashed into a barrier at the Lido U-Turn flyover along Jalan Lintas at about 7.30am on Sunday.

Police said the vehicle is believed to have suffered a tyre blowout, causing the driver to lose control before hitting the flyover barrier and spinning.

Traffic police were deployed to manage traffic and investigate the incident, with no other vehicles reported to be involved.
