Pheew..!!! I am not sure what to expect next. Sabah FC on Tuesday proved that the world of football is often unpredictable after they defied the odds to beat Terengganu FC 3-1 away from home.
A scoreline I really did not expect especially after the 1-3 home loss to DPMM FC only days earlier. I thought the team would crumble following the unexpected news of Datuk Shaheimy Yahya quitting as Sabah FA president effectively January 1, next year.

It was a much more difficult game than the game against DPMM, but Sabah FC managed to come from a goal down to win 3-1 and the credit must be given to goalkeeper Damien Lim who had a remarkable game.
He pulled out several good saves in the first half to put us in the game and the goal scored by Akhyar Rashid in the 34th minute was no fault of his.
Sabah FC were able to find the equalizer in the opening half’s injury time through Fergus Tierney. who scored with a header from a cross by Miguel Cifuentes.
The youngster than turned an assist in the 74th minute with a cross for Adjin Mujagic to head in, before the latter continued his recent good form to further extend Sabah
FC’s lead with another goal from the spot in the 89th minute.
I can see that Adjin is getting into the groove after a slow start of the season and he has become a crucial figure in the squad.
His ability to convert chances clearly showed his growing confidence and important role as a dependable scorer.
I hope the performance on Tuesday was not just a flash in the pan and the team will continue to improve and get as many wins as possible in the remaining season.
Meanwhile, with the series of recent resignations over the past one week, will we see a major shakeup in Sabah FA and Sabah FC?
Many are speculating whether a new technical or sporting director will be appointed to replace Scott Ollerenshaw and if there is an incoming head coach on the horizon or Alto Linus will be given the task to lead the team permanently.
The deputy president is expected to step into a leadership role temporarily, but the winds of change are clearly blowing.
The days ahead are crucial for Sabah FC. As the supporters, we are hoping for stability as the club needs to build on the momentum and an impending leadership transition could present a perfect opportunity for the squad to find its footing.
