Kota Kinabalu: Parking policies are meant to manage parking spaces effectively, not to punish people unfairly, so said Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Vice-President David Ong.
He called on local authorities and parking concessionaires to overhaul the city’s current digital parking system to make it fair, reasonable, and user-friendly for all motorists.
Accompanied by LDP Complaints Bureau Chief Jacky Chin and Youth Chief Loong Kok Seng, David said the group recently visited DBKK Holdings Sdn Bhd to raise long-standing public concerns, particularly over harsh penalty measures that fail to take real-life circumstances into account.
“In reality, meetings run late, discussions drag on, and people are often delayed at banks or government offices,” he noted.
