PAPAR: A 56-year-old man succumbed to serious injuries after being hit by a car along Km 18, Pan Borneo Highway, here, Friday night.

Due to the dark road condition, the driver failed to notice a man, believed to be crossing the road, and could not brake in time, hitting the pedestrian.

“The impact caused the victim to be thrown off before landing on the road. He was later pronounced dead by Papar Hospital officers at the scene,” he said.
