KOTA KINABALU:  A Range Rover was destroyed after it caught fire near City Mall along the busy Kolombong flyover on Thursday morning.

The 8.30am incident unfolded when the driver, travelling from Bundusan, pulled over after seeing smoke, only for the vehicle to erupt in flames once the bonnet was opened.

Firefighters quickly put out the blaze, but the engine was completely lost.

No injuries were reported, and the cause is under investigation.
