KOTA KINABALU: Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun carried out the final review of the State 2026 Budget on Wednesday ahead of its tabling at the Sabah State Legislative Assembly on Dec 12.

The budget, themed “Driving Development, Prioritising People’s Wellbeing”, will be presented at 3pm on Friday as the State prepares to outline its fiscal direction for the coming year.

Masidi received the completed document from Finance Ministry Permanent Secretary Datuk Sofian Alfian Nair, who was accompanied by Deputy Permanent Secretary (Development) Chee Shok Ting and Budget Division Under-Secretary Mohd Faizal Mohd Tahir.

Also present were Assistant Finance Ministers Datuk Ben Chong and Datuk Mohd Ishak Ayub, along with senior officers from the ministry.
