Kota Kinabalu: Parti Warisan Strategic Communications Director Christopher Masudal said the announcement by DAP Secretary-General Anthony Loke to intensify reform efforts and regain public confidence raised more questions than answers.
He asked why DAP needed a further six months when it had already been part of the Federal administration and previously held positions in the Sabah State Legislative Assembly.

“Between 2023 and 2025, when DAP shared power with GRS, did they use their position to resolve issues of water and electricity supply in housing areas?
“Did they defend the rights of Sabah’s indigenous communities affected by native land disputes? Or take a firm stand to ensure those implicated in the mineral corruption scandal were brought to justice?” he said in a statement.
Christopher claimed that DAP Sabah’s silence on several local issues had frustrated the public, arguing that it reflected a lack of genuine political will to champion Sabah’s interests.
He alleged that Sabah seats had, instead, been used as a stepping stone to secure parliamentary victories that would help maintain Pakatan Harapan’s hold on the Federal Government.

“Will they follow in Upko’s footsteps — leaving PH now, only to realign with PH or BN again after the 16th General Election?” he asked. Christopher further pointed to remarks by DAP Vice-Chairman and Perak leader Nga Kor Ming in April, which signalled the party’s willingness to work with Umno/BN in GE16.
He also cited a recent comment by Umno supreme council member Puad Zarkashi that his party would cooperate with DAP in the upcoming polls.
