Kota Kinabalu: Pertubuhan Angkatan Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (Agaras) President Micheal Frederik suggested that former Umno minister Datuk Zaid Ibrahim go back to school to study how Malaysia was formed through the 1963 Malaysia Agreement (MA63) and the Federal Constitution.
He said this in reaction to Zaid’s suggestion that the Federal Government cancel the MA63 and that the Federal Government would go bankrupt if ordered to pay Sabah’s 40 per cent revenue entitlement under Article 112C and Section 2(1), Part IV, Tenth Schedule of the Federal Constitution, covering the financial years from 1974 to 2021.
“Zaid should stop speaking on behalf of the Federal Government,” he said.
Micheal said the recent court ruling which allowed a judicial review application filed by the Sabah Law Society (SLS) has directed the Federal Government to review the special grant rate within 90 days and reach a payment agreement within 180 days from Nov 7, 2025.
