KOTA KINABALU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said ongoing infrastructure works in Sabah are part of long-running commitments rather than fresh election pledges.
He told a gathering in Likas on Thursday that Sabahans have waited a long time for improvements in water supply and road conditions, acknowledging their patience.

Anwar said the Pan Borneo Highway remains unfinished on the Sabah side despite being approved together with Sarawak, adding that progress continues under close monitoring.
He affirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to implementing Sabah’s 40 per cent revenue entitlement and voiced support for the State Government’s push for transparent project delivery.
Anwar also highlighted Malaysia’s strength in diversity, saying the nation’s stability and cooperation between Federal and State governments are helping drive economic growth.
