SOOK: A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Sinangkuit Cultural Group, is calling on those aged 18-20 who are voting for the first time to choose candidates who have proven to develop Sook.
The group’s leader, Severinus Mohd Faisal Abdullah , 46, from Kg Dalit said this age group is still inexperienced in understanding the electoral process to the point that they are easily fooled by false promises made by candidates who only think about their own gains.
According to him, voter aged 18 to 20 are a group of young people who are hot-blooded and like to explore something that challenges them.
“Sometimes what they (young people) do is unpredictable. Therefore, adults and the experienced need to help them make the right choice,” he said here.
He said BN candidate Datuk Seri Arthur Kurup has brought development to all corners of Sook over the past four years.
Arthur is facing four other candidates, incumbent Datuk Ellron Angin from GRS, Shafiq @ Joseph Peter Tinggi (Warisan), Ireneus Pagut @Jreneus Pagut (STARSABAH) and V Chong Vin @ Siau Ho (PIS).
