KENINGAU: Sabah Government, under the leadership of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), remains committed to strengthening the education sector in the state.
Sook State Assemblyman, Datuk Ellron Angin, said this is in line with the government’s aspiration to produce a digitally literate and competitive generation.
He added that various initiatives such as BUDI, BAGUS, and SUKSES have been introduced by the state government to support students pursuing higher education at public and private institutions.
Ellron said this when officiating at the Smart TV Donation Ceremony for Digital Teaching and Learning (PdP Digital) Innovation at SMK Keningau on Wednesday.
He expressed hope that the Smart TV contribution would support the implementation of Digital Teaching and Learning and further strengthen 21st-century learning practices in schools.
Earlier, Ellron visited classrooms to observe Digital PdP sessions and witnessed a demonstration on the use of SmartTAG TV in teaching.
He noted that such innovations prove that technology can make the teaching and learning process more interactive and effective.
To date, SMK Keningau has received 54 Smart TV units, covering all teaching and learning classrooms as well as special rooms in the school.
This makes SMK Keningau one of the most active schools in fully implementing digital learning.
Also present were Keningau District Education Officer Johari Sabin, SMK Keningau Principal Sabdin Saribin, and Parent-Teacher Association President Melitus Anastasius.
