RANAU: Police personnel on duty during the election period must practise high professionalism, said Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh bin Dikun.

He said they must be on alert, disciplined and fully responsible in carrying out their duties.

“In addition, police need to maintain the integrity and image of the force so that public confidence in the PDRM remains strong and guided by the law and standard operating procedures (SOP) when carrying out their responsibilities.

“Our duty is not just to uphold the law, but to ensure that every citizen can fulfill their responsibilities as voters in a peaceful and safe environment,” he stressed.
