Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah lawn bowl team is targeting at least two gold medals in the Maksak Games to be held in Terengganu from Oct 2-5.
Team manager cum player Supian Buang who led the 14-member team said they also hope to improve their 10th place position achieved last year.
“We are hoping for a better outing with the inclusion of several former Sukma players in the team,” he said.
He expressed his appreciation to Maksak Sabah honorary secretary Benedict Anduaus for his trust to appoint him as the team manager for the second year running.
He also thanked Youth and Sports Ministry’s permanent secretary Datuk Mansur Asun, the Chief Minister department’s management and finance division for their support.
Meanwhile, the other team members are Muhd Uthman Sarimal, Muhd Hafiz Firdaus Affendy, Mohd Hairi Hamzah, Qwanelee Junaidah @ Junaidih, Ahmad Abdul Abbas,
Mohd Hairiell Affendy Jeffry,Nur Syafiqa Johana Affendy, Susanna Felicia Ansip, Siti Solehah Halim, Norasmidah Abdul Murah and Samini Baindang.
