KENINGAU: A two-storey semi-permanent house was destroyed in a fire at Kampung Mottou, behind Kolej Geomatika here on Wednesday afternoon.

Seventeen firefighters from the District Fire and Rescue Station responded to the emergency call at 2.42pm and brought the situation under control by 3.38pm, with no casualties reported.

Firefighting efforts are ongoing to extinguish remaining embers using water from fire engines, hydrants and a nearby drain.
