Kota Kinabalu: The State Immigration Department denied any form of abuse of detainees at the Kimanis Immigration Centre by depriving them of food and medical supply.Its Director Datuk SH Sitti Saleha Habib Yusoff all detainees are ensured to receive appropriate treatment and management, both in terms of food supply and medical treatment.
She was responding to a viral video of a man allegedly from the centre claiming that they became malnourished and denied medication for their skin diseases. Sitti said the video implying the poor treatment at the centre was being exploited.
