Kota Kinabalu: Australian Foreign Minister and Senator Penny Wong (left) paying respects at the grave of paternal grandmother “Poh Poh” at the cemetery in Mile 5, Tuaran Road, on Thursday where she laid a wreath and said prayers. Penny has often spoken about her beloved “poh poh” who single-handedly brought up her children after World War II, and how she continues to draw strength and inspiration from her.
Penny, who was in Sabah where she was born for a short visit, told students at Kinabalu International School (KIS) where she had once studied that she wished she had more time to visit other places that she missed.
