PENAMPANG: Gelvia Vanessa Jenny
(pic), representing Papar, was crowned State Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan (UNK) 2026 after outshining 52 other finalists during the grand final at the Kadazan Dusun Cultural Association (KDCA) Hall here on Sunday.
She took home a prize package worth RM120,000, including RM15,000 in cash, the coveted crown, a trophy, as well as sponsored prizes and services.
The first runner-up title went to Juje Elor @ Francis of Tuaran, while Criszelbellkah Lorris of Matunggong finished third.
The runner-up received a prize package worth RM75,000, while the third-placed winner took home a prize package worth RM50,000, with both also receiving trophies, sponsored prizes and services.
The State-level Unduk Ngadau competition was the highlight of the month-long Kaamatan Festival celebrations, drawing contestants from across Sabah as well as KDCA branches in the peninsula and Sarawak.
