Fifteen firefighters were deployed to the scene some 13 kilometres away. The team arrived at about 1.01 am.
Firefighters from the Lintas Fire and Rescue Station also assisted in the operation to prevent the blaze from spreading to surrounding areas.
Kurong said two of the houses were destroyed, while a third suffered 50 per cent damage.
Four vehicles were also affected — a Proton Satria, a Perodua Viva and a Mercedes were destroyed, while an Isuzu D-Max four-wheel-drive sustained 20 per cent damage.
The fire was brought under control at 2.11 am and operations ended at 3 am.
Kurong said no injuries or fatalities were recorded, adding that the cause of the fire and extent of losses remain under investigation.
A resident identified as Ellron, 23, said the neighbourhood was thrown into a state of panic when residents were awoken by cries for help.
“When it happened, all the occupants ran out of their houses to save themselves and no one was reported injured,” he said.
