RANAU: A 31-year-old was remanded four days to assist investigations into a criminal intimidation case involving threats allegedly directed at his family members in Kg Debut Langsat, here.
The case came to light after the suspect’s younger sister lodged a report on May 31, expressing concern for the safety of her family due to the suspect’s increasingly aggressive behaviour.

In her report, the 29-year-old complainant alleged that her brother had a history of drug abuse and had previously been arrested and imprisoned on several occasions for drug-related offences.
She claimed that after being released from prison in April last year, the suspect resumed his previous habits and frequently became aggressive without apparent reason.
Acting on the information received, a team from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Ranau District Police Headquarters (IPD Ranau) conducted an operation in the early hours of June 1.
The suspect was located and arrested at approximately 12.15am in front of a hut situated behind an unnumbered house in Kampung Debut Langsat.
