Abandoned baby boy: Woman held
SEMPORNA: A two-month-old baby boy was found abandoned on a footpath in front of an unoccupied house in Kampung Panji, here, on Tuesday.

Semporna Police Chief Supt Tan Hiap Wah said the baby, weighing 3kg and wrapped in a piece of cloth, was discovered by members of the public at 7am.

The infant was taken to a hospital for an examination and is reported to be in good health.

The baby remains under observation and has been handed over to the Social Welfare Department for further action, he said in a statement.
