Kudat KPDN enforcement chief Nazatul Shima Karim said the case involved an ownerless seizure and a scheduled controlled goods exhibit comprising 3,600 litres of petrol estimated to be worth RM7,164.
She said the activity was believed to have been carried out in a remote area to mislead authorities and conceal the smuggling operation from detection.
Nazatul said KPDN appreciated the strategic cooperation and proactive action by the GOF in strengthening and ensuring the success of Ops Tiris 4.0 to combat the misappropriation of controlled goods, while urging the public to channel information on such activities through official channels.
