The ceremony was officiated by the Deputy Chief Minister II and Minister of Works and Utilities, Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Joachim Gunsalam, JP, who represented the Chief Minister of Sabah and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Yayasan Sabah, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji bin Haji Noor.
In his speech, Dr. Joachim emphasised that organisational excellence is built on a culture of integrity, discipline, and unity among its workforces.

He also highlighted an important milestone for the organisation.
“As we celebrate tonight’s achievements, the Yayasan Sabah Group will mark its 60th anniversary on 10 May 2026. Over the past six decades, the Group has enabled thousands of rural students to pursue higher education, helped uplift families from poverty, and continued efforts to preserve our natural heritage for future generations,” he added.
Reaffirming the organisation’s commitment, he noted that the Diamond Jubilee represents not only a celebration of its legacy, but a renewed dedication to serving the people of Sabah.
The event featured several key award categories, including Staff Awards, Sports Awards, and Corporate Awards, recognising excellence across the organisation.
Also present were members of the Board of Trustees, senior management, and staff of the Yayasan Sabah Group.
The evening concluded with a group photography session and an official banquet held in honour of all award recipients.
