KOTA KINABALU: The Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (DPMM) Sabah Branch is prioritising the oil and gas sector while pledging full support for SAAEM Sabah Sdn. Bhd., a Sabah-owned new player.

Its President, Datuk M Sapawae @ Sapawai Tussin, said the move aligns with efforts to strengthen local participation, adding that DPMM Sabah will support the company’s growth within the state’s expanding industry.

He said this at a Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony between SAA Engineering & Marine Sdn. Bhd. and SAAEM Sabah Sdn. Bhd., which also included a Letter of Intent Presentation involving DPMM Sabah.

Meanwhile, Managing Director Muhammad Nasruddin Salim said the collaboration will strengthen Sabah’s oil and gas sector through greater local participation, capacity building and technology transfer, supported by the technical expertise of Terengganu-based SAA Engineering & Marine.

At the event, SAAEM Sabah also submitted its membership application to DPMM Sabah, further strengthening ties with the local business community.
