Kuala Lumpur: A moderate earthquake measuring 5.3 magnitude struck Mindanao, the Philippines, at 11.35pm on Wednesday, reported the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
The earthquake occurred at coordinates 7.1 degrees north and 126.5 degrees east, about 77km east of Davao at a depth of 10km, with no tsunami threat to Malaysia.
