KOTA BELUD: Chery Malaysia set a shining example by partnering with One Ocean Nature Conservation Centre (OONCC) on Usukan Island torestore life beneath the waves.
The effort saw 135 coral fragments propagated and secured in an adopted coral nursery by 30 staff, forming the foundation of a thriving reef ecosystem that would be protected and monitored for years to come.
This initiative doesn’t just plant corals, it plants hope, biodiversity, and resilience into our oceans.
“We’re proving that corporate impact can be as deep as the ocean,” said Monica Chin, Founder and Managing Director of OONCC.
“If one company can take responsibility for part of our ocean’s future, imagine the change we could create if the entire automobile industry united for the same cause,” she said.
The ocean’s health is tied to our planet’s future and every company, regardless of industry, can play a role in protecting it.
By connecting brand values with tangible environmental action, this initiative demonstrates that sustainability is not just a promise, but a legacy in motion.
The corals planted today will be living proof of what happens when industry leaders embrace their power to create positive change.
